Congregation B’nai Tikvah provides a warm, inclusive environment where all Jews feel welcome. Whether you consider yourself Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Eclectic or unaffiliated, you will feel right at home. B'nai Tikvah takes a dynamic approach in blending both modern and traditional practices. At B’nai Tikvah, we just consider you Jewish. We are here to serve YOU and to make you feel comfortable so that you can experience Judaism your way.
Sensitive to the evolving interests and needs of the North County community, B’nai Tikvah takes a dynamic approach in blending both modern and traditional practices. A combination of Hebrew, with transliteration and English make our prayers meaningful for everyone. Our mission is to strike a careful balance between tradition and change. This provides an opportunity for Jews of diverse backgrounds to come together for prayer, spiritual renewal and community in a multi-generational, enriching environment. Through the guidance of our Rabbi and Cantor, we seek to encourage involvement and create a special sense of belonging for all those who walk through our doors. We are supportive of unaffiliated Jews who are seeking a reassuring and accepting environment regardless of personal or alternative lifestyles.
Congregation B’nai Tikvah is a full service synagogue that offers a variety of weekly Shabbat services, a one-day a week Hebrew school, a vibrant Sisterhood, a lively Men’s club, a monthly family service, innovative holiday celebrations, community outreach events, weekly Torah study and a very popular In Our Mid’zt conversion class.
Who will feel comfortable at B’nai Tikvah?
We are proud to welcome those who are Jews by choice or by birth, those seeking conversion or simply information, and those looking for a connection with the Jewish community. We welcome interfaith and same sex families, seniors, adults, couples, singles, young professionals and college students.
